Panhard et Levassor

This section is dedicated to the restoration of a 1914 four seater tourer, Panhard et Levassor x-19.

Specification

  • 8-10hp four cylinder, sidevalve, splash fed lubrication 2155cc engine.
  • Panhard patent carburettor, gravity fed.
  • Ignition by magneto.
  • Four speed single plate disc clutch, unit engine gearbox construction.
  • Torque tube rear axle, semi elliptical springs front and rear.
  • Internal expanding rear drum brakes separate for handbrake and foot brake, no front wheel braking.
  • Wooden wheels with pneumatic beaded edge tyres.
  • Steering by three start worm and nut.
